Robert Foster Brandon, 76, of Crown Point Indiana died Jan 15, 2010 at Riley Hospice Center following a brief illness.
He was born February 9, 1933 to James and FrankieBelle (Martin) Brandon in Lorain, Ohio.
After high school he served his country honorably in the Army as a Sergeant during the Korean War.
He retired from Western Southern Life Insurance.
Bob enjoyed woodworking, old movies, cooking and being active with the American Legion. He was the Past Commander of American Legion Post 485 Brunswick in Schereville, Indiana.
He is survived by his children Jeff (Wendy), Mark (Lori), Bob (MaryBeth) Brandon, Gayle (Bill) Kovach; Grandchildren Shawn (Jenny) , Shannon, Kim, Kaylee, Grace, Sam, Jack Brandon, Tiffany Black, and Jason Kovach; Great Grandchildren, Megan, Zach and Emma; brother Paul (Suzette) Brandon and sister Barbara (Tony) Polito, and longtime companion, Jane Brandon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James M Brandon Jr., and sister Lois J.(Brandon) White.
A Memorial service will be held at Geisen Funeral Home on Monday, January 25th at 3:00, with visitation from 1-3. American Legion Post 485 will provide Military Honors.
